Howard Jelks
Denise Jelks Gray is seeking information about her father, Howard Jelks, from anyone who served with him in Headquarters Company, 19th Infantry Regiment. His combat time was August 21, 1951-January 23, 1952.
He was in the Fall Campaign known as Operation Nomad (October 1951). He was with Woodrow Keeble when Keeble was shot through his helmet while he and Jelks dragged a wounded soldier to safety.
Even if you did not know her father, Ms. Gray would like to speak to you about some of the action.
