Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why is our reunion held in Ft. Stewart, GA this year?

This year is the 33rd Anniversary of Desert Storm. The Board and Officers felt that it is important to show our support for the brothers and sisters of the 24th ID that deployed and fought in this war, especially after two reunions were canceled due to not being allowed on base due to Covid. Also, membership voted in the 2022 Annual meeting to make Hinesville/Fort Stewart the permanent home of the reunion going forward. The Board of Directors traditionally make the recomendations at the Annual Members Meeting held during our reunions. We look for locations that have plenty of hotel space, friendly to military reunions and have at least one item of military interest such as a musuem, National Park with military history, a Fort, Naval or Air Base, etc. If you have an idea for a location please let us know and we would be glad to explore it! Our goal is to make the reunions accessible to the most possible members as well as keep the locations interesting, affordable and attempt to cover all geographic regions over time. You can see our past history of reunion locations here.
